House Rules

During the Anime Festival Kassel, we kindly ask you to observe and adhere to the following notices and rules. The Anime Festival Kassel is generally a peaceful family event. We welcome everyone who wants to explore the values of Japan and the vibrant world of anime, manga, and cosplay with us. The over 200 volunteers of Anime Kultur e.V. are looking forward to your visit.

Rules

  • We would like to point out that bringing your own glass bottles is not allowed! PET bottles are permitted.
  • Please strictly observe the prohibition of eating in rooms with upholstered seats.
  • The consumption and handling of alcohol, drugs, cannabis, glass bottles, and potentially dangerous objects is prohibited on the entire premises. Persons under the influence of intoxicants or showing corresponding symptoms must leave the premises.
  • Bringing animals is prohibited, except for guide dogs or service animals.
  • There is a strict no-smoking policy inside the buildings. Any fire brigade call-outs will be charged to the perpetrator.
  • All types of damage, especially fire, water, and vandalism damage, are to be avoided.
  • Thefts will always be reported and will result in exclusion from the event.
  • Independent modifications to buildings and equipment are prohibited.
  • The distribution of flyers and advertising, as well as the sale or distribution of goods, is only permitted with the approval of the responsible organiser.
  • Lost property can be handed in and collected at the cloakroom by the ticket counter until Sunday at 8 PM.
  • We value respectful, considerate, and careful behaviour.
  • The instructions of the crew members must be followed.
  • Escape and rescue routes must be kept clear.
  • Please ensure that your mobile phone is set to silent during events.
  • Please do not upload any recordings to the internet unless you are sure you have the consent of the person filmed. The same applies to the programme of the Anime Festival.
  • Cosplays should not be too revealing, meaning the chest, intimate areas, and buttocks must be adequately covered. The cosplay weapon rules of the Anime Festival, which you can view in full here, always apply. Weapons must be checked by our cosplay weapon check at the cloakroom.
  • Youths under 16 without a guardian present may only remain on the premises until 22:00.
  • The J-DISCO on Friday is for ages 16 and over! Please have your age checked at the ticket counter from 20:00 onwards.
  • Please take care of your belongings! We cannot accept liability for theft or loss.
  • We would like to emphasise once again that the entire Congress Palais is part of our event area, including the foyer with the ticket area. If you do not intend to visit the event with an official ticket, we ask you to leave the premises.

Photos and Videos

All cosplayers and private individuals at the festival may take photos and videos and upload them to cosplay platforms, as long as the recordings are of a private nature and taken by hobby photographers or filmmakers. However, please observe the general legal regulations. Always ask for permission before taking a photo of someone! A general ban on photos and filming applies if the moderator points this out before a programme item.

In Case of Emergency

If you get injured, don't panic – our medical team will take care of you as quickly as possible. Our medical team is located in the entrance area. In case of any problems, please contact us or the staff of the Congress Palais immediately. You can recognise our helpers by the colourful crew T-shirts with the current festival motif.

Note! In case of doubt, the instructions of the Anime Festival Kassel staff and the Congress Palais must be followed.
