Thank you Freiburg! Thank you for three great years with you. But unfortunately we have to inform you today that there will be no more Anime Festival in Freiburg in the future. After the dismantling in 2022, we were surprisingly informed by the city that the community centres can no longer be used by us. The reason for this is new regulations on the maximum rental time per day, which makes it impossible for us to hold the festival. We had looked around for other venues in Freiburg, such as the concert hall, but from a purely economic and logistical point of view this was not feasible for us. However, the Anime Festival will not disappear, it will even become much bigger! As luck would have it, an offer came from Kassel at the same time. With regard to the fact that our team would never have existed without the Anime event in Kassel, we could not refuse the offer to maintain the tradition in Kassel as a follow-up event.

We would like to thank you once again for the really wonderful time. You gave us a warm welcome and the atmosphere was always great. We very much hope to see you again in Kassel, maybe from 27 to 29 October 2023.
